FAQ: How to Save a World
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

Will How to Save a World be localized in my language?

We have been trying to work with partners from around the world to localize How to Save a World. Unfortunately, we don’t have any partners YET. We will continue to work to find partners throughout this campaign. That being said, we will translate the Kickstarter edition only into French and German. These games will not be offered in the Standard edition, at the time of launching this campaign. You never know what can happen in the future.

Why are there no Stretch Goals on this campaign?

We are coming at you with our best foot forward. We are including everything that we can to make this a complete game, including spectacular deluxe components, a mini expansion, and of course a solo mode. We felt that having Stretch Goals would distract from all of the amazing fun we are going to have on this campaign over the next 23 days. So, everything that could have been a Stretch Goal is already included in the Kickstarter edition of How to Save a World.

Yes!

If I pledge for $1 can I have access to the pledge manager?

The answer is always yes. BUT, the game will be slightly more expensive at that point. We will have the most accurate price when the pledge manager launches. It is typically only a few Canadian dollars more.

I would like to put a group pledge together. Can I get a discount?

We are not offering discounts on group pledges, other than shipping costing you far less than it would if you purchased your games separately. In some cases, it could save you hundreds of dollars.

I am a retailer, and I'd like to order How to Save a world for my store. How can I do that?

First ask yourself, do I have a brick and mortar store? If the answer to this question is no, then you’ll have to get your games as a group pledge. We cannot sell games to you as a retailer.

If the answer is yes, then we’re happy to continue the conversation. Please back the campaign at the $5 pledge level.

If you are a verified retailer (you’ve already backed our campaigns and we know you), you can sit back and just enjoy the remainder of the campaign. If you are not a verified retailer, we’ll be contacting you very soon to verify your status as a retailer. We’ll ask you some questions that will help us determine your status.

Why are shipping prices so high to my region?

Shipping prices have risen tremendously over the last few years, and they continue to do so each and every year. While we are already paying some of the shipping for you, these prices are still very high. Unfortunately, this is a harsh reality for all of us. We try to shop around for the best prices, and will continue to do so throughout the campaign. Your shipping price will not increase from the prices advertised on this campaign. It may, however, decrease in price. Fingers crossed!!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
